Use of First Title Insurance plc Online Services
You will be asked to register a username and password if you wish to purchase or obtain a quote for our product(s) through our Online Services. It is your responsibility to keep your username and password confidential, by:
- ensuring your Login details are kept secret;
- not allowing others to use your Login details;
- changing your Login password at regular intervals; and
- contacting First Title immediately if you believe your Login is being used by another party.
First Title reserves the right to withdraw access to the Site without prior notice if we believe that there has been a breach or abuse of the system.
By logging into our on line site you confirm that you are authorised by the Financial Services Authority or the Solicitors Regulatory Authority for the purchase of title insurance on behalf of your clients.
Complaints
We aim to provide you with a first class service. However there may be times when you feel that we have not done so. If this were the case, we would rather be told about it so that we can do our best to solve the problem. If you have a complaint then please contact us at legal&claims@firsttitle.eu and we will make sure that your complaint is considered immediately.
If there is a disagreement between us which we cannot resolve to your satisfaction you can refer any relevant complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) who, once contracted, will liaise with us on your behalf. FOS will then inform you directly of its decision. Referral to FOS will not prejudice your right to take subsequent legal proceedings. Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)
We are covered by the FSCS and you may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.
Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 90% of the claim, without any upper limit.
