Our HOPP underwriting team boasts a wealth of talent and experience.
Our team specializes in residential legal issues surrounding the ownership of property, meaning that our skills are focussed, ensuring that you and your client receive the best service for your case. Every underwriter also has personal underwriting authority on behalf of First Title Insurance, meaning that you can get an immediate response to your problem.

Wesley joined First Title in April 2007. Since then, he has been exposed to a wide variety of title related issues, such as restrictive covenants, easements, chancel repair liabilities, also village green and judicial review. Wes graduated with a Law LLB in 2002, his role requires him to keep up to date with the many changes in the law, governing the transfer and use of property. Wes is currently working on the development of our residential products.

Amber joined First Title in 1996, as a conveyancing assistant. In 2007 she joined First Title Insurance as an Assistant Residential Underwriter. She was promoted to Residential Underwriter in 2008, and now manages a team dealing with all aspects of both residential underwriting and commercial assumption-based underwriting.

Sarah joined First Title in December 1984. A long-standing employee, Sarah brings a vast wealth of knowledge to the commercial underwriting department and has experience in underwriting high value, complex property deals for law firms, brokers, international corporations, regional development agents and central government departments.
